AI for Social Repurposing
Turn one long-form piece into a full social pack: short posts, comment replies, and short-video scripts—without losing your voice.
What “social repurposing” means
Social repurposing is turning one core asset (a blog post, newsletter, podcast notes, a talk transcript) into multiple smaller outputs that fit different surfaces:
- a short post (feed)
- a short hook + value bullets (story)
- comment replies (community)
- a short video script (reels/shorts)
The goal is not “copy-paste everywhere.” The goal is to keep the message consistent while changing the angle and format.
A reliable 30–60 minute workflow
Step 1: Extract the core
Ask AI to produce:
- the one-sentence takeaway
- 3 supporting points
- 1 example or mini-story
- 1 clear CTA (what should people do next?)
Step 2: Build a “social pack”
Ask for:
- 3 post angles (how-to / myth-bust / story)
- 5 caption drafts (different lengths)
- 10 comment replies (helpful + playful + boundary-setting)
- 1 short video script (30–45s) + a 15s version
Step 3: Humanize + verify
- Replace generic lines with specifics you actually believe.
- Remove inflated claims (“guaranteed,” “best,” “everyone”).
- Fact-check anything factual.
- Make the first two lines sound like a real person.
Repurposing rules that keep quality high
- One post, one idea. Don’t cram the whole article into a caption.
- Change the angle, not the facts. Same truth, new entry point.
- Keep your fingerprints. Add 1 personal detail: what you tried, what surprised you, what you’d do differently.
- Make replies short. A reply that feels human is usually < 2 sentences.
- Always keep a review step. Especially for brand accounts.
A simple publishing checklist
- Hook is specific (not vague motivation)
- One clear takeaway
- A concrete example (numbers, steps, or a small story)
- CTA matches the goal (comment, save, share, click)
- No sensitive or client-confidential info
- Tone matches your account voice
